Type of conjunction

1. Coordinating Conjunction

👉 āϝিāĻŦোā§° Conjunction āĻĻুāϟা āĻŦা āϤāϤোāϧিāĻ• āϏāĻŽāĻŽাāύ⧰ (equal rank) āĻļāĻŦ্āĻĻ, āĻŦাāĻ•্āϝাংāĻļ (phrase) āĻŦা āωāĻĒāĻŦাāĻ•্āϝ (clause)āĻ• āϜুā§°ে, āϤাāĻ• coordinating conjunction āĻ•োā§ąা āĻšā§Ÿ।
Examples: and, but, or, nor, for, so, yet

📖 Example sentence:

  • I went to the market and bought some fruits.

  • She is poor but honest.


2. Subordinating Conjunction

👉 āϝিāĻŦোā§° Conjunction **Independent clause (Principal clause)**ā§° āϞāĻ—āϤ **Dependent clause (Subordinate clause)**āĻ• āϜুā§°ে, āϤাāĻ• subordinating conjunction āĻ•োā§ąা āĻšā§Ÿ।
Examples: because, although, though, since, if, unless, until, before, after, when, while, as, as soon as, as long as, whereas āχāϤ্āϝাāĻĻি।

📖 Example sentence:

  • He failed because he was careless.

  • I will go if it does not rain.


3. Correlative Conjunction

👉 āϝিāĻŦোā§° Conjunction āϜোā§°েā§°ে (in pairs) āĻŦ্āĻ¯ā§ąāĻšাā§° āĻšā§Ÿ āφ⧰ু āĻāĻ•েāϞāĻ—ে āĻĻুāϟা āϏāĻŽāĻŽাāύ⧰ āĻ…ংāĻļ āϜুā§°ে, āϤাāĻ• correlative conjunction āĻ•োā§ąা āĻšā§Ÿ।
Examples: either…or, neither…nor, both…and, not only…but also, whether…or

📖 Example sentence:

  • Either you work hard or you will fail.

  • She is not only intelligent but also hardworking.
