Ans:-The courtiers Call the prince 'Happy Prince' because he was really very happy when he was alive and a human heart. He lived in the palace. He didnot know what tears were as there sorrow is not allowed to enter in the palace.
He is not happy now because after his death his statue was set up on a column high above the city. Now he is sad having seen the misery and suffering of the people though his heart is made of lead.
All around him,he could see the ugliness and misery of the city..He saw in the city only the suffering and misery of the people. He saw the suffering of the seamstress, the young playwright and the little matchgirl. The little swallow also flew over the city and told him the misery of people. He told the statue how the rich making merry in their beautiful houses while the beggars were sitting at the gates.
3.Why does the Happy Prince send a ruby for the seamstress?What does the swallow do in the seamstress' house?(সুখী ৰাজকুমাৰ জনে কিয় মহিলা দৰ্জী গৰাকীৰ বাবে এটা ৰুবী পঠাইছিল?কণমানি চৰাইটি য়ে মহিলা দৰ্জী গৰাকীৰ ঘৰত গৈ কি কৰিলে?
Ans:-The Happy Prince sends a rubi for the seamstress because her little boy is lying ill in a bed in the corner of the room.He has a fever and is asking his mother to give him oranges. His mother has nothing to give him but only river water. So he is crying. The face of the woman is thin and worn. Her hands are coarse and red,all pricked by the needle. She is embroidering flowers on a satin gown for the loveliest of the queen's maids of honour,to wear at the next court ball.
The swallow came to the seamstress' house and looked in.The boy was tossing feverishly on his bed and his mother had fallen asleep as she was tired. The swallow laid the great ruby on the table beside the woman's thimble. Then he flew gently round the bed, fanning the boy's forehead with his wings.
